South West Coast Path

We now have a map on our wall with a drawn line of where we have walked. Still a lot to do but it is great fun and a good way to get away from the mayhem of modern life.

We are not just marching through from one end to the other. Depending how we feel and the time we have we pick a part of the coast path we haven’t walked yet. So far we have completed from Lyme Regis to Start Point and Minehead to Clovelly. There are also many parts in between we have walked and we will eventually catch up and have them posted on the web.

Information

630 mile journey. Although this website has just changed we I will still include a link to it. We have used the old one to great use for helping us plan our journeys. Hopefully the new one is just as good, if not better, but I will let you know.

Travel

Although possible on some parts of the coast, not having to do a circular walk is key. We tend to drive to one location, get a bus to the starting point and walk back to the car. For public transport try the Traveline website.

Maps

Although Google so some very good maps and seem to have the latest and most detailed aerial photography, Microsoft with Bing maps are extremely useful as when you zoom in you can select the ordinance survey maps. This helps when working out the gradiants and which side of the wall the path goes.
