Had a problem today after having migrated to a new computer that Office 2013 in both Word and Excel would not open my files from OneDrive. They would open from my local drive but on the recent list or browsing to the website address on docs.live.net.
The message was not very useful just stating that it “Couldn’t open the file”.
After a bit of searching I hadn’t got very far but for a different problem someone had run a repair on the Office 2013 installation. Worth a try I thought. So I did and now it works…
It would seem if you have a error in Office, try a repair. This is from the installed applications, right click and select change, and then repair.
